My Current Read of the Stock Market and the FED

I Was Thinking 1/4 Point FED Rate Raise, Something is Off

 The stock market is due an 

8 trading low today.

I was thinking we make the ~3972 SPX Low before the announcement today. I checked out the consensus, which was about 97.8% believing a 1/4% rate increase was baked into the cake.

The stock market is dawdling. It has to be a 1/2% rate increase, we are nowhere near 3972!

My first thinking was 1/2% and I changed my mind, but now thinking 1/2% will be the reality as I originally thought.

A 1/2% rate increase announcement would send the market down to near my SPX 3972 area and then Powell could talk it up into day's end.

I'm looking for a minimum 70 pt rally off the bottom today into the close.

Neptune sq. Rahu today can mean both panic and irrational exuberance, so let's see what happens!

Well you were right about a 70 point move lol!!! 

 

 

10% is a market crash, in one day, everything else is just a correction!! 

We have not experienced 5% in one day for a long time, if my 82 year old memory is correct.

Thanks kindly..I am staying young looking and feeling because of this routine 4 times every week, total only 30 minutes each day.

20 minutes on treadmill, 5 minutes on pulling 30lb total weights 20 times on weight machine, and 5 minutes walk to gym and back to house.

Oh...I do wear wrist weights while walking on treadmill. That helps strengthen upper body by swinging arms. Have been doing this for 7 years after quitting golf at age 75. Nothing will keep you healthy and young better than regular exercise.
