mss,
Thx.. 5/21 divergence with price and turning down from below the 8/34 seems (specially the second time) should be the Sell. There can be multiple divegences so a break of ema supports is key..
Also tops seem to have several divergences before giving up, while bottoms have mostly one... It may have been the reverse in 2000-2002.. So depends on the primary trend ?

The 5/21 moves much faster than the 8/34 due to its mathamatical makeup. A crossing is a warning of change. Here is the trickie part, - momentom plays a great big part. A long period of narrow price swings will make them move closer together, AS IN NOW, therefore a cross above is very bullish, while a spread with the 5/21 seperating down would be very bearish. Hope I was clear enough?

Hi MSS,
Interesting charts which I am getting familiar with.
I am wondering whether those charts are based on a spreadsheet such as Excel?
It looks like Excel charts.
Need to familiar with your methologies as I follow your posts. My connection is very slow now, actually I was on slow connection for a week. Technicians going to change my cable lines with the thickest one! Thank YOU, LORD!! haha
Thanks,
Sharon

Thanks, MSS
You have wonderful Excel skill. I thought I have mastered the Excel, but you certainly show me the master piece of Excel. I really like how you work with the numbers on the charts.
Could you please direct me your posts explaining what you are showing? TIA
Also, could you comment on the longer ratio is trending higher than shorter ratio on one of your charts showing only two different ratios with SPX? Why would the longer ratio is running higher than the shorter one while SPX is trending higher.
Of course, I could say that it is divergence. Am I missing somthing?
Again, Thanks
Sharon
