Yeah, looks like SLW is already starting the game.....will be important for it to hold the break-out.

slw does not produce silver it is a trader, you need to look at primary producers. The fact that we are brushing a triple top has me concerned. Rejection at this level could be rather bad. Islander.

I agree with Islander. I'd be very careful investing in silver at this point. In fact, with spot silver at $19.30 I'm starting a short position in silver today via HZD on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Why short silver as of today? (1) Whenever the 18 day CCI gets over 200 silver tends to peak out and decline within at most 7 trading days. Today (Aug 27th) is the third day for silver to have a CCI (18) over 200. (2) From August 20th to September 12th Mercury is retrograde and during this time period false breakouts often occur. At the very least there will be a surprisingly sharp counter-trend move especially during the middle period of Mercury turning retrograde. We will be in that middle period as of next Monday on August 30th. (3) Raymond Merriman has a strong critical reversal date specifically for silver today which indicates a top. (4) SLV as a proxy for silver is well above its 100 and 200 day simple moving average. However, Silver Standard Resources (SSRI) an actual producer of silver is still way below its 200 day simple moving average and has just today, finally, moved up above its 100 day simple moving average. Both of these can't be right. Either silver has to break above the multi-month overhead resistance area and SSRI will move up with it or silver is going to take a nasty tumble from these prices.
