Ike wrote about LA ch 22 closing, well i saw Ike, Larry Katz, Frank Barbera, Stan Harley etc on there alot!! Frank used to give us a chart wrap daily with Mcclellan OSC/summation charts and analysis, among other charts! i think i can sum up what those guys always said ----> XAU leads the metal! by the way it appears to me that the last gold low 390 near midpoint of Stan Harley's famous 81 day cycle for gold... so this next low is very good to go!!

Whaddya know, you and I are almost exactly the same age, stockbucks! B) I think you've got a lot more years trading experience though. I only started at the end of '01. The combination of 9/11 and the bear market was the catalyst which got me more actively involved in my investments. Before that I was pretty much buy and hold.

I can't say I remember too much about markets in the 70's - I was more concerned with the usual teenage preoccupations - but I do remember long gas lines and headlines about the Middle East. I also remember the price of almost everything going up very rapidly. Could we be in for a repeat?

I started trading after college in the late 80s, first stocks bought were Oracle and Wendys and mostly mutual funds. Was mostly an medium term trading. Dabbed in futures but was flat (too fast for me and not enough info) and returned to stocks. the internet in the mid to late 1990s turned me into a short term trader. yeah, the 70s is like the 'stand by me' movie live case for me but in San Francisco. nice diversity and loved any type of music that time...rock n roll, country, soul, disco. early MTV days was fun to watch. used to go to the Giants games often at candlesticks park. Rick Barry won one for Warriors. 49ers didn't catch on until Clark made 'The Catch' from Montana. not also gasoline rose...the first wave of baby boomers started buying homes and everything. The first wavers will be retiring soon, what do I expect them to do with their much appreciated homes? Either sell or retire there. Japan had already seen a large supply of 'for sale' homes from their aging baby boomers. Future home sellers beware... :(

an ultra long-term Xau?gold chart would be good to see....from that perspective the XAU is not frothy at all
Health Canada has just released a study which shows that 100% of the population who have been exposed to whole milk products will die.
