I'm happy being "wrong" about this climate stuff. I'm happy supporting green technology and innovation. I'm happy leaving as small a footprint as I can. I'm happy recycling. Buying local produce. Boycotting wasteful industries. Walking, biking more and driving less. I'm happy to support higher gas taxes. Incentives for greener industrial products. I'm happy to support nuclear technology and push back against coal. I'm a simple minded guy, mind you, so it doesn't take much to make me happy. Having spent my entire life since High School as a biology major, doing research at the Rockefeller Institute in NYC and then off to medical school, I consider myself a critical thinker and analyzer of scientific data. But, I could be wrong. In fact, I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken. :)

I also believe in evolution.

So, let me get this straight. You're happy asserting veracity of a theory that is poorly supported and which is driving policy that if allowed to continue will crush our and much of western world's economies for little benefit (regardless of whose numbers you use)?

You're happy to support stealing MORE money from your fellow citizens and retarding economic growth and opportunity for the poorest in this country?

I just wanted to be clear.

I'd also like to know why you think that you've critically analyzed the data and science of CAGW theory.

What about it seems to be compelling to you?

I obviously read this data differntly than you. Make no bones about it, I'm a doctor, dammit, not a climate scientist, but a lifelong subscriber and reader of Scientific journals on a regular basis. Clearly we disagree. So your twisting of my words is unhelpful. Also, as you know, there is a deep ethical difference between our world views. I'm willing to continue to support social security through my taxes so old folks won't suffer in their retirement. I'm will to support medicare, warts and all, as its been a fantastic program to help the elderly. And its important and its worth paying taxes for, as I feel a moral and ethical responsibility to my fellow man. Also happy to ride on a big safe highway with my tax dollars. Glad to have an army protecting me with my tax dollars. Would like to see a Government assisted program to reduce oil dependency which would add jobs, green up the environment, reduce our whore position to the middle east countries who hate us and attack us. Why? Its the right thing to do. If we find out it also helped the environment, thats the icing on the cake. It will never hurt. Again, I just can't see why you got your knickers in a twist over this. But its your thing and I respect your point of view. mmingin

Now I know why you believe global warming is man made.

I believe in G O D and He warms and cools the planet when and how ever He pleases.

This must be St. Patrick's day. Everybody is wading into the fight! This is my fault for drifting off Climate issues, which are fact based or not, but not primarily political. But now I've validated MM's drift (yes you get blame too) into taxes and politics. I'm shuttin' it down. Mea Culpa. Mark
