On July 17, 2010 Wyatt Roscoe and Forrest McCarthy walked 8 miles from the Cow Creek Trailhead to the very headwaters of the Gros Ventre River. Starting at an elevation 8,900 feet they paddled 20 miles back to their car at 7,500 feet. With the exception of Upper Falls, and one other rapid about a mile above, they ran everything including Ouzel Falls.
