Yosemite Steve shot this one-hour timelapse video in Tuolumne Meadows, CA during the summer of 2011.
It shows the formation of a secondary and primary rainbow, but also several iterations of supernumerary rainbows beneath the primary. The repeating bands of magenta and green are very similar to the colors one sees in the aurora borealis.

I have watched his Frazil ice video on Yosemite creek a few times - *** best with sound turned on, the birds singing at the end is a big contrast to the other sounds
