All of us feel great sympathy for those killed and injured in these attacks and that applies around the world in many countries BUT not all.

However I feel the US population are refusing to ask why. In fact some say "we don't care why".

The response is "we won't let them affect our lives"

The fact is they are changing your lives.

There is the added billions spent on intelligence and surveillance.

Take the intrusion into airport access and listening to email traffic and added cameras etc.

Soon there will be cameras on every street corner and your email for years will be saved for analysis.

So freedom is being greatly diminished.

Yet that question of "Why" is ignored or wrongly attributed.

I hear "they just hate our freedom".

That is pure nonsense.

The fact is much of the world, especially the Muslim world, hates the US intrusion into their affairs.

The numbers are varied but perhaps the US has 1,000 military bases around the world.

It is involved in the affairs of probably every nation.

Even here in Australia in the past we had the US working against an elected government.

If you stamp on an ant's nest, don't be surprised when they climb your legs and bite you.

Yes, perhaps some of the US world wide action is trying to be constructive.

Much of it is to promote US influence.

The US forefathers saw the dangers of this type of action and warned against it. Just one link from Ron Paul. http://www.antiwar.c...aul/paul30.html

The world doesn't need a policeman, it needs to be left to its own determination.

I have tried to be dispassionate on the subject but expect to be howled down.
