johngeorge -- nxg held up very well in the last correction and i was more concerned about how it held up after earnings. i sold right before earnings but it has so far moved down only slightly.

if gold cracks tho he stock may too.

i'm really tempted to initiate a position here...and i have to leave for the day in a few minutes..........

Good luck ed however you play it. If gold does crack I will have to see if it holds well or not and make my play accordingly. Will know in the fulness of time.

well it ended up doing nothing and that looks like the right decision so far. have a good weekend and we'll see what next week brings.

I sold my NXG today for a very small gain. Still holding two mutual funds in long term account for gold stocks. Sitting tight and watching now in the gold trading account. Picked up a small position in PVX (Canroy involved in natural gas) @ $10.42. Need to be aware of possible dividend cuts there, though. CNE a Canroy in oil and natl gas recently cut it's dividend. I think energy (gas and oil) are good spots to be for the next year or two or more. Will know in the fulness of time.

johngeorge -- i'm still flat here. man i have a bad feeling about energy in general.
