Onion insomnia cure - WHACKY but it works

I sleep fine, except when too excited over a project or if I exercise too late in the day ... then I can have trouble falling asleep. Well the other night, I was really revved up about a new venture and also had too much evening exercise and found myself not being able to drift off .... so I tried this wacky sounding insomnia cure that they talked about on an infomercial (jeepers, even I wanted to buy the book, but didn't ... later found it in the library) ... it's simple: cut up a few red onions (can add other onions too) and put them in a jar .... take a few good sniffs before bed and leave it by your bedside. Maybe it's all placebo ... I have no idea ... but I quickly drifted off to sleep and had a deep, REM filled night. Woke incredibly refreshed. I'd be curious if anyone else has ever heard of this or tried this? Does it work for you? As well, all that oniony odor might send your tossing and turning bed partner into the other room ... then you'll really sleep well!! :lol: :D :lol: C.C.
