I just got a check from Blue Cross Blue Shield for $.01. Yep. A penny. Came in a printed envelope, with a stamp, and 2 page letter explaining that due to an internal audit they felt they had been "too slow" to pay on a $3.94 patient charge from several months ago.
Don't you just love the insurance business? There is no hope for this system. Amazing.

You'd think there'd be a way to email you , or just add the penny credit on your next payment and save themselves the cost of an envelope and a stamp.
No one said they had to be intelligent, and that proves it. How moronic can you get?
