This is a special Market IQ Report.Disneyworld - December 29, 2008, 08:00 A.M. Shares ofThe Walt Disney Company (NYSE: this) seem to be undervalued, at leastbased on the Peter Lynch principle of analysis, where actually goingout and looking at the business yields tangible evidence of prevailingconditions.

We've been here since Christmas day and have seen nothing but hugecrowds at every park, including Magic Kingdom, Disney's HollywoodStudios, and EPCOT Center where there were 45 minute waiting times toget on rides that most people would normally ignore due to their lowthrill potential.

The on-site restaurants are all full for those without reservations.Buses and boats to all parks are full to capacity, and one Disneyworker told us that Magic Kingdom alone saw 72,000 visitors cross thegates on Christmas day.

We've seen and spoken to visitors from Japan, Argentina, India,England, and New Zealand, as well as visitors from the United States, where our non-scientifica methods suggest lots of folks from Floridaand the East Coast are visiting.

There are lots of locals apparent, and the parking lots are full ofcars, with lines forming at night to take visitors back to their carsin shuttles.

All in all, three major trends are apparent. First, Disney parks, atleast Disneyworld, continues to be a major global attraction, and isperceived as a value, despite very high prices for all items, includingfood, drinks, admission, hotel stays, and souvenirs.

Second, much of this is being aided by the low dollar, as the number offoreign visitors to this park, is the highest we've ever seen.

And third, lower oil prices are playing a significant factor, given thenumber of cars visible in all parking lots.

Conclusion

As we've noted in other "Tales From The Road Installments" recently, travel does not seem to be affected to the degree that Wall Streetanalysts and economists seem to expect that it would be during arecession.

This, for us, is now a trend that we've been following for the past twomonths, having delivered reports from two small towns in Texas, WichitaFalls, and Waco, where the local economies were quite stable and localbusinesses and national brands with strong presences in the communitiesseemed well supported.

Now, we're in Florida, in huge international setting and brand loyaltyis clearly a dominant factor in destination travel.

We'll be reporting from here for at least one more installment of"Tales From The Road."

Market Moves
Is Disney (NYSE: this) A Pot Of GoldHidden Inside The Dow?

Shares of The Walt Disney Company(NYSE: this) may be a pot of gold for valueinvestors.

The stock is trading at less that 10 times earnings and at least onetheme park, Disneyworld is doing booming business during this holidayseason.

In past cycles, enterntainment has done reasonably well as familieslook for ways to forget their troubles, and this time the trend may beeven more powerful, as the global recession means more people arelooking for a place to hide.

This reporter has been to this park many times, but has never seencrowds this size, or this globally diversified, with more languagesbeing thrown about than ever, in a place known for its global reach.

And the move seems to be company wide as Disney is looking to expandits Hong Kong operation, even as other leisure companies, such as CBS,and many movie studios are pulling back their horns.

We are adding Disney to our Fallen Angels portfolio buy list.
