Achille Capecce.........+1700% in just three months.......winner of the ''Top trader contest'' in 1998, a contest played with real money. Starting with a sum corresponding to nowadays more or less 12,900 euros, he ended up with 232,400 euros three months later. As far as I know he never won the Timer Digest of the year, but I' m sure he doesn' t care much......and he goes on making tons of money without watching the sky from the epicenter of primary wave three up.....LOL

I am not calling you out on your Timer Digest performance.  Clearly, you were king of the timers tracked by Timer Digest until 2000.  Your 1990 Timer of the Year award shows that you must have been on the right side of the 20% bear market that occurred late summer and fall when Iraq invaded Kuwait.  All I am asking is some evidence to suggest you called the 2000-02 and 2008-09 bear markets.

There's an old saying...

Success requires no explanations (or glad-handing oneself) and failure permits no alibis (or denials).

I noticed that Mark, for example, has no need to brag, he just enjoys his work, and we all appreciate him.

For some people though, success isn't enough, they engage in punishing their "perceived" enemies.

timer digest complained about i gave to many calls....hardly a dirth of sell signals eh

I can also attest to this. I heard from several sources around that time that you were making too many changes of position... and being a PITA about it (I'm shocked! SHOCKED!!!), so TD stopped tracking you.

Don does time.

I believe Don already copped to being a "pompous {bleeeep}"!

OK, so now, we've been through a lot. We have established that indeed, Don can be exceedingly annoying and has impulse control issues.

He also isn't infallible.

He also knows quite a bit.

IF you can tolerate or overlook his (numerous) foibles, you can learn some stuff from him that might well make you money. Which is why I let him post.

In fact, I can say that I've actually learned some valuable stuff from a number folks on FF over the years, including Semi and Don. If I could keep their sticks out of each other's eyes, my happiness would be complete.

:)

Regardless, thank you both (and all the others who have dropped wisdom on me here on TT).

I think we can probably leave this at this, no?
