I am looking to go long above 2557.

One can make a case for either a sharp bearish correction or a parabolic rise here. The way the market has consolidated and absorbed all the selling the last few days, i think we are going to see a vertical move in the market today to the upside.

Long now from SPX 2557. STOP currently at 2548, but will move it up shortly, based on price action.

The board is eerily silent today. No bull or bear predictions. These kind of days typically result in big sharp moves (up or down). The board being mum is a sign of uncertainty. Uncertainty is the rocket fuel for markets!

The SPX / VIX correlation chart provided by Tom McClellan and brought here courtesy of Rodger Dodger has been very useful. Very high right now.

McClellan stated in his commentary it often preceds a down move. However, after studying it a while, there is also often a sharp up move first.

Interestingly, it also works intra-day for sharp moves, but moves can go either way. Here it works somewhat like neutral fractal energy indicator.

Edit: From the looks of the intra-day chart there could be a big sell off into the close

Another listless trading day. Exited my position at SPX 2554 for a 3 point loss. Will look at this next week

Cycle projection to 2490'ish. First down projection in a while. Usually the first crack through is bounced.
