Day after day roaming gangs of children from single parent homes kill each other and innocent victims.
Yet rather than considering the root cause and the failure of the Welfare State which pays single women to reproduce, guns are blamed.
We had guns when I was a kid.
Boy Scouts used to take their 22 rifles to school for shooting competition.
But those Scouts had fathers, direction and someone to answer to, someone to look up to.
Now the State is the father, and a miserable one.
And sadly even in many 2 parent homes, two incomes are needed to pay the tax burden of that Welfare State, and again the children are left to the care of day care strangers.

There's no mention of parent's roll here, only government programs are the solution.

The shootings are a reminder of why youth gang prevention programs are needed, said Chow, adding that these programs are effective and should be expanded.
"When (young people) are engaged in meaningful employment, it will detach them away from gang activities and give them a sense of hope."

Neither employee required medical assistance, but Simpson said police were concerned about the violent nature of the incident.
"It concerns the police that these things are going from simple thefts to robberies and assaults, and they're certainly scaring the heck out of people working at the stores," he said.

The suspects were described as a group of males, ages 13 to 19 years old, all wearing hats and hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered.

A DEADLY Environment of Pervasive violence:

Attitude to violence is beyond a joke as Batman shows...

As politicians climb all over themselves to get in the spotlight over the Colorado shooting, the ongoing war in Chicago is not even mentioned.

Maybe we could use a community organizer to condemn this "Culture of Violence" rather than glorify it.

The homicide rate in Chicago has soared more than 50 percent in the first few months of 2012 over the same time period last year. The number of non-fatal shootings is up sharply, too. Why? Some say it could be just a statistical blip or due to rising temperatures, as Chicago had an extremely mild winter this year with record-setting warmth in March, the bloodiest month. But others say there is a deeply entrenched culture of violence in some city neighborhoods and within the prolific Chicago street gangs. They worry 2012 could be one of the most violent years in the city since the 1990s.

Deafening silence from Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson and all the "race hustling poverty pimps" as Oklahoma's J.C. Watts aptly labeled them.
