Anyone use a computerized trading journal/spreadsheet that they would recommend? I'm looking at this one but would like some more alternatives. TIA

UFO, I do not recall you ever mentioning who your Broker is, but I do not think it is Interactive Brokers. At IB they provide a nice Daily summary of trading, and it can be downloaded. I have never used it other to glance at it, so am not sure if there are any charts that can be created from it. I would assume the download could be placed in excel, and you could create what ever you wanted. Maybe IndexTrader has done something with it. FWIW. Also just remembered, OGM showed an annual performance chart last year, but not sure how the base data was created.

Thx. Darris. IB isn't my broker and as far as creating my own excel spreadsheet, I'm not exactly a computer guy. What I'm really looking for is a rocked out, existing program that I can just download and start entering trades on. User friendly is the key. U.F.O.

That's a really good question. I'm interested in the same thing. TradeStation does a great job of that which is probably what OGM posted. TradeStation booted me from there brokerage so I could use a good third party journal. Right now I use excel but it only keeps track of basic percentages and trade dates and I have a basic chart linked to it. I might stick with it but it would be nice to have some statistical data which TradeStation had.

I'm thinking about buying a copy and goofing around with it. If I do I'll let you know. After a quick glance, the two big questions he doesn't anwer are 1. Can entries be easily edited. (like excel) 2. Does anyone or any company we know reco the product. This question was brought up last year (at TT I think) and a good reco was made. I didn't pay attention because TradeStation still had my business.

Before you buy a copy (although it is cheap) go the FAQ section. The one thing I didn't like was he says if you have a monitor 17" or smaller there may be some viewing scale issues. I think he says this is an excel based system. He just layers on graphics and better visual format. U.F.O.
