a gap up this morning would be one of the most powerful chart signals i can imagine and i believe we will get one:
+ it would carterize 2/11 and 2/12, jumping above both of those daily ranges.
+ it would confirm the thrilling hammer/reversal-bar yesterday.
+ it would clear up the primary daycounting cycle from 11/21 and 1/20-21, permitting both the feb and the march opex's to be peaks.
i suggest you forget about the rumor of a plan on the housing crisis as the cause for yesterday's dramatic late rally: that would be bob pisonu thinking. there are rumors every day. and besides, that one has been around for months. the idea is, in part, to go back to the old bankruptcy rules and allow judges to restruture a mortgage debt and reduce some of the prinicipal.
surely that, in some form, and bank recapitalization will be part of the coming TG/FED plan. it should be no surprise to anyone paying attention.

i see the nuts are really crackin' this morning and it would be another good day to head out early to the coast for a walk on the sand and a layout on the beach and a sumptious fresh-from-the-brine grouper and crab cake buffet. i expect there to be fried green tomatoes and heavenly tartar sauce and cole slaw.
so, i think i will pack it on out with my lovely and patient wife and do just that. i leave the market in the capable hands of the other legionnaires in the taurus century.
charge!

That is very cool that you think of your wife that way. I am looking for a big up move on the DXO chart here now. Staying long.
