As I said, the pull back opportunity is Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning for a Tuesday pull back into Wednesday morning, probably up after that... I am not sure about the expirations; not only a rally later next week would turn the most bearish neutral and the normal bulls into speculators, and bullish speculators to a bunch of ALL INs, but there is the Fed meeting coming up during the expirations, the party pooper! :P

This analysis is data light and it is misleading. In my work for hedge funds this pattern has been looked at as promising (we have a data base of them), except it breaks down under the specified conditions outlined for no apparent reason. In a larger sample this trade can be a killer about half of the time. It has only 47% confidence level in our data base. It is, in context, just another interesting pattern but not necessarily "a sure thing" by any means. Best, Islander

If the SPX holds up early next week, March, per my month end indicator will have a high probability of closing under next Wednesday's high.

The best strategy is PRESS the button that says buy.

A. got to have that stop-spot made up before you go in bud. I am sorry to hear and a bit surprised you got yourself in that situation.

I always run a 1% disaster stop no matter what or as I like to call it the IT stop as in my TT Pal IT  and rarely use it. I think the last time I did was back in July 09 on the 2nd day of that killer pop was like a 14 pointer and I was a moron for staying in that long. Now I rather hit the button fast and if I miss some points no problem another bus coming down the road.

Are you still in?

I was in scalp mode all day both sides but I was such a wimp real quick 3/4 pointers.

Yesterday the bear case was over when the bars around 2:40 yesterday closed it was 1132.50 target and when that went as I mentioned this morning nothing holding it back. It's test the top time at the very least and likely more.
