Just curious. Why was the topic closed? I was looking forward to the responses. It is not about politics. It is about the future of the economy, and how to deal with it.
I let the market tell me what to do. The trouble is she mumbles a lot, and I'm hard of hearing.

It is depressing. But the people in the conversation are all very interesting, and I was curious if they had anything new to add on what asset classes to accumulate and to avoid.

Hey, it was a little on economics. I thought I could reread it. Good stuff there. ... Oh it's still there.

It might have been because topics of that sort sometimes get out of hand on a Saturday Night.

Specially after cocktail hour. :D  :D And all the moderators wanted a quite cocktail hour themselves. :P :o

Had we, like the courts, taken away the licenses of those who do "drive drunk" around here as much as some do, we probably would not have closed it up.

Sometimes pre-emptive strikes are made even though the person who started the thread and those who posted responses immediately after, are fine and actually informative as in that thread.

None of the moderators were going to be around last night and, due to the fact that the owner is pretty liberal in his allowances for those who violate the TOS more than a few times and those are the ones who usually can't handle posts of that nature, especially on Saturday nights when some of the worse offenses occur, decisions like that are sometimes made.
