Sell the rumor, buy the news.
Go ahead. It takes two ends to create a trade-somebody will love you.

I shorted VXX for a hedge, cashed out some shorts, still holding a few though. These markets
are very fast intraday, about a 30 second window to get a good trade off.

I sent orders in this morning at bought $VIX calls, 27.50 strike for 1.95 when the VIX went into the 27's this morning for myself, and the traders I trade for. Well, I sent them in at limit 1.95. A short time later they absolutely took off-even though they dropped a lot later. I glanced at my trading screen wto see how much they were up a while after they started flying-my personal order didn't get filled-I had put it in last.

Pretty well explains the last 10 days of price action, doesn't it?Sell the rumor...
S&P had no choice, and going by the recent rally in bonds, neither do traders.
