Mr softy says consumers want EASIER to use interface. WOWWWWWW!!! DUHHHHHH ! <_< How many years did that take them to figure out ? They are already scrapping windows Vista declaring it a complete and utter failure ! No sh&t sherlock. That is why I kept my XP and didn't install Vista on my Dell (from hell) back when they wanted me to upgrade it. It still sits untouched in my file 13 drawer. So windows 7 (they went back to numbers - as in lucky 7?) is supposed to be easier. We shall see. Still a lumbering giant who has lost its way.

I was forced into Vista on my lap top and I was NOT happy about it. It way unperformed my Mom's Dell with a slower processor and less memory. That said, with adequate ram, and a little patience, Vista is not all that bad. The arrogant forcing of this OS upon us, however, was reprehensible. This is happening more and more, recently. Even at Google. I think it's a very bad thing to give some of these geeks too much business responsibility. They're inherently autocratic and disdainful of their clients in many cases and they're so insular and puerile that they either don't realize that they are really alienating us or they don't care.

At this point, is there any significant advantage in sticking with PCs rather than use a Mac?

i went and bought a refurbished PC when my old one died. the store didn't carry one Vista desktop or laptop. there was no demand for it.
