* futures overnight tried to sell off - as they have so often lately after an up day - and the sell-off failed. that will surely not go unnoticed.

* this is the yearly close for many mf's and any which are underfunded by contract will need to quickly buy.

* if we stay firm today, the prospect of two plus days in a row of consequence (when did we last see that?), and which were not so very violent and unsettling, will re-inforce the view that things really have changed after the 10/10/08 panic low and the 10/27/08 re-test.

here is a free site with a couple of straightforward t/a charts that support my view to some extent:

"A BASE"

I am in the bull camp also, but today is a day of rest. We consolidate for the election news.
