For those of you who use THINKORSWIM platform ACTIVE TRADER screen, have you had any problems using the FLAT options when closing a position when SHORT? Today I had a strange problem when the THINKORSWIM showed I had no positions after using FLAT but when I signed into the TDAMERITRADE website it showed I had 1200 shares LONG and 1200 SHARES SHORT. I called TDAMERITRADE/TOS and they told me there is a bug in the FLAT and REVERSE functions and asked me not to use it. Anyone else had this problem? Luckily I did not lose any money except my funds were tied-up. CP

I haven't experienced this problem or heard of it before. Did they mention if they're fixing it? Or at least working on it? Hopefully, this purchase by TD Waterhouse hasn't sent service totally down the drain.

They did say they are working on the problem and I was asked to use BUY or SELL for now. This is making me nervous. What I failed to mention earlier was that I have a TD Ameritrade account and I use TD Ameritrade version of TOS. Maybe the problem is with TOS from TD Ameritrade. I really like active trader after today not so sure:) CP1
