Hehehe...nice discussion here...why nt wrap it up with relative return of last 10 years of every other market you think is doing better than India:)

There are powerful deflationary forces in the economy.... servicing existing debt, excess and overly priced housing, excess and overly priced labor. The government and Fed are fighing these forces with greater deficits, print money, and QE. Some say "deflation will win, regardless". We'll see.
40,000 headmen couldn't make me change my mind....

my cab driver told me that his house in India went from 70K a few years ago to 350K recently - he sold and is going to reinvest. I asked if he was in Pune - he laughed, oh no, houses there are all over 1 million. this shocked me pretty good cause that isnt even the case in Fairfield county and i dont think the average wage in Pune beats Fairfield - so, someone has money over there and that is a pretty big bubble. of course he could have been telling tall tales, but...

He was talking ruppes .......however you spell it....
