so, you want to grab onto one small stock, that frankly i have never heard of , and say yes this is the elephant!
take a look @gdx/hui/xau. myopic views w/o comparisons into consideration, will snake one out of their position.
1426 is support and it is continually being tested and holding . 1409 has not even come into play. considering that the top was 1445 by golds past corrections , this is showing unusual strength, imho. wait until the next phase. volatility is still relatively mild. not one limit up day yet. there will be many

Here's a chart below comparing $Gold to 5 mining companies and only Yamana (AUY) appears to be keeping pace with the price of gold. Novagold (NG) is just doing OK and Eldorado (EGO), Agnico-Eagle (AEM) and especially Newmont (NEM) are getting clobbered relative to the price of gold. None of those 3 miners have kept pace with the price of gold for the last 3 weeks!!! What does it mean? I have no idea.

NEM monthly MACD sell. And very oversold with gold trading near $1450 this week? LOL.

That's a Monthly signal. Not a weekly, not daily ... monthly.

dougie,

I can find you dozens of junior stocks that look like this. See how the daily MACD is cutting to new lows (look at a 3 year timeframe)? That's not good at all. The uptrend is over for now. It is going to take time to repair all those charts.

NEM looks like it might be correcting the whole move out of the 09 lows John
if so, it has a bit to go, but if it takes off from here, that wont be bearish
