Where’s That Radioactive Sulfur Now? Possibly In Your Pants, Forbes.com by Jeff McMahon, August 16, 2011:
When the news broke yesterday that a previously unreported type of fallout from Fukushima—radioactive sulfur—had reached the United States in late March, nearly all mainstream media reports made the claim that it poses no threat to the health of Americans. [...]
And if you’re a man, you may be interested to know that some miniscule portion of it could be in your testicles. [...]
The California Air Resources Board estimates that Californians inhale 10-50 liters of air per minute during normal activities ranging from sitting to running. A liter equals 0.001 cubic meters, meaning Californians may have inhaled only about 360 radioactive sulfur atoms on that day—or more. [...]
Sulfur-35 is absorbed by the entire body but is of particular concern to men because it tends to concentrate in the testicles, according to a Nuclide Safety Data Sheet from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Beta radiation occurring there could damage neighboring cells. [...]

Report: Gov’t source says “I’ve heard about the steam coming out from the ground, and I am concerned” — “Some kind of reaction may be occurring underground” writes plant worker
August 17th, 2011 at 04:32 PM It was early August, around 9PM. A worker at Fukushima I Nuke Plant sent an email to his local contact, saying “Steam gushing out of cracks on the ground. The area is foggy with steam, and the workers evacuated temporarily.” …Read More

At four different places in Japan, Iodine 131 was detected between 15th-25th August.
The half life time of Iodine 131 is about 8 days.
It's natural to think Fukushima got into the recriticality state.
1) Between 8/15~16,they detected 150 Bq/kg of Iodine 131 from sewage sludge in Tokyo. [...]
2) Between 8/25~9/6,they also detected 2,300 ~ 4,800 Bq/kg of Iodine 131 [in Oshu City in Iwate]. [...]
3 [& 4]) and today, they announced they detected Iodine 131 in Niigata and Nagano. [...]

Research on US nuclear levels after Fukushima could aid in future nuclear detection, PhysOrg, September 9, 2011:
Published findings regarding Fukushima disaster by a mechanical engineering professor at the The University of Texas and researchers at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)
The thought was confirmed by data collected by [UT engineering professor Steven Biegalski] and PNNL researchers. Their study reports that more radioxenon was released from the Fukushima facilities than in the 1979 meltdown at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station in Pennsylvania and in the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Ukraine.
Biegalski said the reason for the large release in Fukushima, when compared to the others, is that there were three nuclear reactors at the Japan facilities rather than just one.

Our previous post about the Miyagi Mom who lost her unborn child to Fukushima Daiichi and may be losing her precious 2 yo even as her own health falls to pieces is the flip-side of the terrible story in this post.
With our facebook crowd-sourced human translation project, we are able to bring you this account of a pediatrician who reports on the conditions that doctors are facing as they get pressure to not even talk about the dangers their patients are facing.
Doctors the world over ostensibly commit to and follow a basic code of medical ethics that spans back many 1000s of years and many cultures. One prime rule is "Primum non nocere" which translates to "First Do No Harm".
This code is being destroyed in Japan for the sake of profits – to protect nuclear based profits at all costs.. and make no mistake – those costs are unborn children, small toddlers, little kids who would hold your hand and look into your eyes and expect truth and love, demanding what is theirs, and what is not afforded them or their parents by the government that is killing them.
I have put the English translation first, Japanese text second. I have not done a copyedit on the translation because – in a way – it feels more immediate without all the transformation into native speaking colloquialisms.
[Please note that the Japanese government and corporations are increasing their censoring activities so putting these stories into the public domain is a political act and a humane act - our brothers and sisters are suffering - it is up to us to continue spreading these stories by sharing on facebook, twitter, your blogs, anywhere you meet people who might hear the story.]
