Question for the Board Regarding the Effects of Quantitative Easing

Several (not the majority but a good number) posters on this board seem to have very different opinions than the consensus regarding how QE affects securities prices. Those posters often make comments along the lines of "it doesn't matter that QE or QE2 is finishing/has finished...the effects of asset purchases aren't seen in the stock market anyway for 12 months" Others say the same thing but say the lagtime is 3 or 6 months. Could people that make those comments elaborate on evidence that exists for lagtime effects of QE and why the lagtime is the period of time they state?
