SPX daily closes chart since 1996, food for thought:

excerpt of comments - see the chart in the LINK above...it updates "live" with price action
in the future when YOU refresh your browser while on the chart view

SPX daily closes in histogram format since 1996, and:

1. the 89-day ema (blue) vs.

2. the 377-day ema (green) vs.

3. the 200-day ema (black)

* check out the MACD relatively high extreme...this puppy either goes higher next week (AAPL reports, then FED speak) and into the February Options Expiration event, or when it consolidates and does not continue to higher levels later ...it could provide a timely clue for a likely vertical 2 to +5% decline

* you can see the gold solid Horizontals on my priority watch for daily closes in the future below the current price action
and the pink Horizontal below that cluster of Gold's

* the bullish case is now that NYSI is above the +750 level, it may want to head to +1010 level marked on this chart ... be vigilant how the daily net NYSE breadth and net Nasdaq breadth values provide validation or negation of the currently negatively divergent breadth postings vs. the most recent slow grind rising price action (NOTE: I have not provided my full analysis of what method I am using to ID the negatively divergent breadth data vs. the price action)
