Leadership today again. Nothing else is going on in this market. I think this sector make up says everything anyone needs to know. The whole rally is about defensive large cap stocks. Transports red, materials annihilated, Small caps weak, Techs, industrials and energy dipping in and out of the red.

All signs, including gold, are clearly pointing to a worsening economy ahead. The defensive stocks will be the last to drop. But drop they will during a significant downturn. There is probably still a small room for profit in defensive stocks but the reward:risk ratio is not attractive to me.

Yep. Everything will get clobbered eventually. For now the strong DOW is starting to look pretty silly in what is rapidly becoming a sea of red.
