Margaret Thatcher DID make some momumental changes in Britain when it was in decline. She was ruthless. A case of what it takes. A case of the end justifies the means. Some suggest she changed things for the better. Perhaps she did, but I can buy the world and make things better for a decade until I can't make the payments and default. One thing she can't be excused of is her support for Pinochet. Pinochet was a murderous tyrant but Thatcher saw his actions as positive. Like the USA, when you support dictators instead of human rights, it leaves you naked as criminals. She was one.
