I'm glad he saved himself when he pointed to the counter trend rally as being "impulsive" and later admitted it was too noisy to be that...and his only mildly referencing the bearish double test failure of overhead resistance. Unfortunately, his bias got in the way from where a better analytical presentation would had been provided. Thanks for the link....we'll see how things go at $1383 and $1375 per his reference in the video. Fib

Volume by price analysis misses the mark. Volume at swing points is the ticket. I'm not impressed.

Amazing how his approach just ... "We have a bunch of swing points here..." dismissing it. That's where all the good data is, Not in his volume bars by price.

Not in his volume bars by price.

Those the "balance beams" he talks about? Are those what you're calling "volume bars by price"? If so, are you sure those are volume bars? I tried to duplicate his software a few times in TradeStation using volume and couldn't do it. My inability to do it might just be that I'm not adept enough at TradeStation, but failing to get it done with volume also made me wonder if the balance beams are something else...like ticks?

Anyway, just wondering...thanks for any additional thoughts you have on this.

If one clicks on the "LAMBRO39" just below the YouTube video on gold futures, it should lead to his other uploads. Lots of interesting video on stocks, indexes, some currencies... I remember his video on Facebook (FB) right after its IPO nailed every downside level and congestion zone.

It's amazing to me how Volume is a great tool if you really understand how to use it.. I see all kinds of analysis using volume that is my opinion FLAWED. Up Volume/Down Volume, Volume by Price. All meaningless. The predictive powers of a coin flip.

Thanks. Where is that setup in StockCharts?

Thanks. Where is that setup in StockCharts?

It's in the "Overlays" drop down box under "Volume by Price".

You can play with the parameters as well.
