Men Who Never Grow Up – The ‘Puer Aeturnus Complex’

Puer Aeturnus is Latin for ‘Eternal Youth’. It is a concept from the psychology of Carl Jung and applies to those men who, even though they’re in their 30’s, 40’s or 50’s have retained the emotional characteristics of an adolescent.

Left-Wing Actor Alec Baldwin Is An Example of An Adult With the Emotional Characteristics of an Adolescent

On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin was removed from the plane for throwing a tantrum.

Report: Alec Baldwin to Host MSNBC Show

Here are some of his most memorable moments.

1. “Rude, thoughtless little pig” — In 1998, Baldwin berated his eleven-year-old daughter, Ireland, for not answering his phone call. “You are a rude, thoughtless little pig,” he said in a voicemail, “You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being.” Baldwin went on to lambaste his ex-wife and Ireland’s mother actress Kim Basinger as “a thoughtless pain in the {bleeeep}.”

2. “Stone Henry Hyde to death” — That same year, in the midst of Clinton’s impeachment proceeding, Baldwin told Conan O’Brien’s audience that in other countries, “we would stone [Republican congressman] Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and we’d kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families.” Baldwin became very animated in his rant, motioning to the crowd to get excited. Hyde served as chief prosecutor during the Clinton trial and argued that Congress had a “civic duty” to impeach the president for perjury

3. Words with Friends — Baldwin was tossed off an American Airlines flight in 2011 for refusing to turn off his cell phone prior to the plane’s takeoff; he was reportedly playing the Scrabble-like game Words with Friends on his phone. Baldwin became angry with flight attendants, forcing the plane to go back to the gate. One passenger tweeted “terrible that everyone had to wait” to takeoff because of Baldwin. His spokesman’s explanation? “He loves ‘Words with Friends’ so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it.”

4. “Coon, a drug dealer” — In February of this year, Baldwin had a confrontation with a female reporter and a black photographer. When reporter Tara Palmeri approached Baldwin with a question, he grabbed her by the arm and threatened, “I want you to choke to death.” Baldwin then turned to the photographer, G. N. Miller, and called him a “coon, a drug dealer.” When later informed that Miller was a former NYPD detective, Baldwin tweeted in disbelief that Miller “claims he’s ex NYPD!! That can’t be!!! Ex NYPD don’t become crackhead, ex jailhouse paparazzi!”

5. “Toxic little queen” — In June, Baldwin took to Twitter to express his outrage at a reporter who accused his wife of tweeting during the funeral of James Gandolfini. Baldwin called the Daily Mail’s George Stevens a “toxic little queen” and said that he was going to “straighten out this f***ing little b****.” Baldwin quickly deleted the tweets and his account.

Actor Alec Baldwin apologizes for slur, talk show suspended

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Alec Baldwin said his late night talk show on cable news network MSNBC will be taken off the air on Friday and next week and apologized for comments that a gay rights group called homophobic epithets.

Baldwin, who has had many confrontations with photographers and reporters approaching him in public, also came under fire in June for homophobic tweets aimed at a reporter for Britain's Daily Mail newspaper

The Puer is impulsive and impatient, has a low frustration tolerance and does not reflect. He isn’t only threatened by aging, but also by self-discipline, patience, duty, endurance and accepting limitations. There is no time for standing still, tolerating conflict and solving problems. He has to be on the move “where the action is”.

Problems also arise when adapting to society. The Puer envisions himself as a bringer of meaning, rather than one who has to adapt. The inflated feelings of being superior, along with arrogance and defiance lead to difficulties at work and in relationships.

Quite a few Puers don’t make it to mid-life; many of them die early in the ‘fast lane’ of drugs or impulsive adventure. Some get lost in religious militancy or sell out to the ‘company’. Without consciousness, men with a Puer Aeternus complex always become victims to their impulsiveness and self-destructiveness or to collective movements like pathological materialism, political extremism or religious fanaticism.

On Wednesday, the first female White House press secretary suggested that MSNBC should fire host Martin Bashir for suggesting that someone defecate and/or urinate in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's mouth.

Dee Dee Myers, who was Bill Clinton's campaign spokeswoman and his first White House press secretary, said she could not imagine where "such thoughts even come from"

Myers, who has written a book about why women leaders should rule the world, spoke out after Breitbart News reported that feminist and women's groups had been silent on Bashir's remarks. Talk radio host Mark Levin suggested women's groups were silent because Palin is not a left-wing politician.

After Bashir apologized on his show on Monday for words that he admitted were "wholly inappropriate" and "offensive," Breitbart News exclusively obtained a letter from Palin's PAC, SarahPAC, that asked MSNBC President Phil Griffin and NBC News President Deborah Turness what action the network would take against Bashir for his "appalling" words. It also mentions that MSNBC has set a precedent of firing and disciplining other anchors for "offensive language."

"You fired Don Imus for offensive language in describing the Rutgers University Women’s Basketball team, you suspended Alec Baldwin, and yet nothing has happened to Mr. Bashir," the letter reads. "Are we to assume then, that disciplinary procedures at your network take place based on the target of the remarks rather than the remarks themselves?"

MSNBC fires Alec Baldwin

Baldwin’s dismissal was decided partly because of his diva-like behavior toward co-workers, a source said.

Besides demanding a humidifier because he claimed the air at 30 Rock was too dry, Baldwin alienated staffers when he demanded a separate makeup room being used by a woman with cancer who is sensitive to hairspray.

When Baldwin was told he couldn’t have his way, he allegedly bellowed at the top of his lungs, “I don’t give a f - - k if she has cancer or not, I want that f - - king makeup room.”

Confirmed: Martin Bashir too nasty even for MSNBC
They’re calling it a resignation to let him save face but Politico heard through the grapevine yesterday that he’d been suspended for what he said about Palin.

Bashir was there to smear the right and reassure the audience of its moral superiority, with a little horse-race coverage mixed in. If he occasionally went too far, it was only because he was trying too hard do the job they hired him to do.

We should build a culture that celebrates Life, that judges a childless life to be an incomplete life. We should brand sexual libertines as selfish children.

The suspension of Phil Robertson from A&E’s Duck Dynasty is outrageous in a nation that values freedom, according to social critic and openly gay, dissident feminist Camille Paglia.

There is no group in politics more juvenile than the "gay activists."

“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said. “This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.”

Paglia went on to point out that while she is an atheist she respects religion and has been frustrated by the intolerance of gay activists.

“I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility,” Paglia said. “This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S. Why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism. Why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, etc. is because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing view points.”

Anthony Weiner is the perfect embodiment of the modern liberal beta male, who assures his better half of her moral superiority with his sheepish apologies for a pattern of behavior that everyone knows he will repeat.

In a society without moral values, shame is theater. There is no content to it, only a ritual that the shamed must pass through for the entertainment of the masses. The society that the values revolution made has has no room for moral judgement and yet it needs its entertainments, its circuses and serial humiliations.

Dylan Farrow's Brother Moses Defends Woody Allen

Dylan Farrow's Feb. 1 open letter to The New York Times detailing sexual molestation she says she suffered at the hands of her father Woody Allen reignited a controversy that
has divided their family bitterly for more than 20 years.

Now her brother Moses Farrow is speaking out to defend Allen – and accuse their mother, Mia Farrow, of poisoning the children against their father.

"My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister," Moses, 36, tells PEOPLE in the magazine's new issue. "And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to
pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi."

Another Juvenile Hollywood Narcissist - Woody Allen and the culture of celebrity.

Successful entertainers are often awful people. If you put fame, wealth, and narcissism in a blender, the resulting brew can be toxic. Fame causes ordinary folk to worship the entertainer and to view him as a superior being
to be served. Wealth provides the means and the opportunity for indulgence. And his narcissism makes it all seem natural, appropriate, deserved.

We know this. Everyone knows this and always has. It’s why, in the 1930s, MGM employed two notorious fixers, Eddie Mannix and Howard Strickling, to throw their weight (and a lot of bribe money) around Los Angeles in order to
keep the peccadilloes of their studio’s talent out of the press.
