fwiw, Gold did get a sell yesterday but now the positive trend change drops down to 1410 which means if gold touches that the trend is positive. This will keep falling as we reverse from O to X's and vice versa happens before hitting that number. I still think the low in gold is in for at least the year and could be THE low. A new buy signal comes in at 1420 and the sell signal target is 1320 fwiw. TM

Thanks Johngeorge...fwiw...the positive trend change now drops down to 1400..so if gold touched 1400 it would be considered a positive trend change on the Dorsey default box (10pt box) which typically we use for trend changes..if it did get a positive trend change I would be very careful shorting it. I'm seeing some small signs that we could be in a range for a bit first. That said the trend change drops with every reversal to x to o or vice versa..right now..it's in a column of x's..a reversal to O would be at 1360..a 2nd sell is at 1350..if no reversal we are setting up for a bullish triangle ...and a touch of 1410 is a new buy signal now fwiw

FWIW, I have several miners now that their RS (relative strength) reversed from X to O..most of them changed to X in early August just to give you an idea of length of time..of course this could last longer but what this indicates is more weakness ahead for a while longer...month to months..and as I have mentioned before can last years but for now, it all relys on gold imo ..as long as it doesn't break July's lows they might just be consolidating the run up rather than a free fall. I think I must have misread gdxj's alert back Aug 15th when I posted it got a positive trend..it must have been another type of alert because as of yesterday it got a negative trend. When I look at its pnf chart it shows that it couldn't have gotten one before...so sorry about that. So as it stands now gdjx changed to a negative trend. Typically these trends don't flip fast. If I could post it and it wouldn't be distorted I could point it out but it wont' post correctly here. I'm getting eye surgery on Oct 3rd so maybe I'll read things better...LOL! TM

yesterday gold got a bearish triangle breakdown..that target was 1300 and it had gone past it. Right now it's following its bearish support line down...which means it stops short everytime from breaking it to the upside which would mean a positive trend change...and at this time a touch of 1350 would be a positive trend change for gold by pnf standards.....now maybe the upside would be limited..but as I"ve mentioned many times before, when you get a positive or negative trend change (like Dec 2012 I got a negative for gdx/gold) it last for a while. Below is the pnf Dorsey chart and it is distorted but you can see what I mean about following the bearish support line which are the dots above the x's and o's. Also it is in its 3rd week of a negative momentum and the average is typically around 8.
