Dr James Greenblatt, a Boston-area psychiatrist, treated a teenager with severe obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and an array of digestive problems.

Greenblatt first did a simple urine test for the metabolite HPHPA and found that it was elevated.

He put the patient, Mary, on a course of high-powered probiotics to boost her good bacteria, followed by antibiotics, and her levels began to ‘dramatically’ go down, he told ABC News.

After six months, Mary's symptoms began to disappear. And by a year, they were gone.

Today, three years later, Mary is a senior in high school and has no sign of either mental disorder.

Look up chromosome 22 deletion - all mental illnesses are listed among nearly 150 other symptoms due to the deletion. Mental illnesses involve the COMPt gene - the size of the deletion determines the severity of the illness. They have known about this connection since 1985 - and its what year now???? Mental Illness in the Unites States of America is political not medical - mental illness in other countries has been CURED - involving a bone marrow transplant - and although still in an experimental stage would eliminate years and years of chronic treatment with toxic drugs by simply replacing missing genes that affected brain development in the first place. OH Wait - hold on - if they acknowledged this as a GENETIC DISEASE - psychology degrees could no longer bill their time to insurance companies because they would not be medically qualified to 'TREAT" people with psychiatric symptoms with COUNSELING????? TPTB that run this crap are too stupid to even comprehend their own incompetency.
