Vehicle sales fell by 38 percent in September after the program expired.
The program also destroyed some perfectly good cars. “Incentivizing the premature destruction of used vehicles represents a loss of capital stock and thus a reduction in economic wealth,” the study said.

I have an amazing old car, I should never sell. Now can you imagine the disaster if I did what they want. It is best in practice thus. Whatever they say, assume the truth is 180 degrees away, collect some math, facts, law and begin closer to the truth, and save a life. Pay sales tax waste Pay new loan interest Loss of capital value ( the value of that old car is getting to work for several years, insurance free, sales tax free, liability free, that car is really work hundreds of thousands ) Pay contractual insurance coverage for a lien holder ( waste ) Multiply the above fraud by 140% because all that fraud is after taxed labor

some of them, and they don't work"  M.Jordan
