... come to Detroit. Tours 'bus' rides are being provided for photographers, or people wishing to see 'ruin porn', in the city of some 78,000 vacant and dilapidated structures. Structures that are too costly for the city to demolish or tear down. It's sort of like visiting a real time 'Rome' after it's early stages of destruction and fall. All of those human efforts, and endeavors, where folks had dreams, lived their lives, even experienced economic prosperity now showing very little of what's left of it all. People who designed and built buildings, even monuments who had hoped to leave their 'mark' on the planet are long gone. As they say, you can't take any of it with you, and in fact the more indebted our country becomes, the sooner our children and grandchildren will experience in their 'real time', absolutely no economic prosperity and be left to live in between such structures in abandoned cities all over the U.S. So it's not only your mortality you will witness first hand, but the futures of your children and grandchildren, unless this country somehow figures out how to change course and develop a more sustainable future where the parasitic losses caused by the sycophant elite, profit sucking banks, and revenue stripping government become outlawed and a thing of the past. Maybe some good will come of it all if people would visit, and if people (such as politicians) are willing to see it firsthand, and let it sink in, rather than just blithely ignore it, hoping and feeling it would 'never happen in their neighborhood.'
