Hi everyone. I'm grateful for the wealth of advice provided on this site, but I wanted to ask a question related to SPY volume. It seems SPY volume increases dramatically on dips and tapers off on rallies. I'm not a volume expert, but I've listened to folks on the radio say a light volume rise in a stock is bearish. I've looked at the volume for the past few years when the SPY goes up. It's always lighter than the dip volume. Is it because of the increased hedging activity on dips being a contrarian indicator? Volume peaked a few days ago in the SPY.
