On April 17 I posted: "XLE possible exhaustion pattern". The statement did not create any attention but XLE came down steadily since then. On May 7 I have mentioned "XLU, slaughter in Utilities . XLU have been going South after a bit of hesitation. Now XHB looks like a potential long, a sleeper but it is stronger then the market. I do not have a buy signal yet. I am a short term trader and not a strategist I but some situations jump out and are worth following because they may lead to a string of brief trades. Recently I was treated to a nice surprise. When I get my Futures Magazine subscription renewal form I have to call and remind them that I pay $20 because I am a charter subscriber. At some point a few years ago I asked them how many charter subscribers did they have. They said six. When I went through the same routine this year they came back to inform me that I was their LAST and ONLY charter subscriber and I'll be getting complementary issues of the magazine from here on. I remember subscribing to Commodities - as it was called in 1969 - and I have been reading it ever since. Makes you ask, being in trading so long does it get easier? Yes and no. The information delivery and commission schedules and depth of markets make trading cheaper and more efficient but one still has to deal with one's personal issues. In 1969 I was a rookie so I am definitely a better trader now but over the years I have lost the degree of determination I had and became more sensitive and actually it is harder for me now. But one thing that one benefits from being around longer is learning to be cunning, a term that is not even in the trading dictionary:) Best regards, F&D
