Major Disconnect Between Price of GDX and Gold

With this morning's low at 14.15 on the GDX, gold stocks are now trading 10+% below the Oct 2008 low. The GLD low today is 60% above the 2008 low. Are gold stocks already discounting much lower gold prices? I think gold stocks are a bargain here, and I took a small position in NUGT.
