Yeah, look at all the construction and repair business coming up after the destruction by riots.
Look at it as glass half full.

Yeah, look at all the construction and repair business coming up after the destruction by riots.
Look at it as glass half full.
Or half empty as banks, insurance and other financials take large losses with lower rates, claims and defaults.

Some of the comments on this thread and others indicate the writers have not experienced riot conditions.
The country is on the brink of civil war
Getting the Army's 82nd Airborn Division ready to intervene in Minneapolis and night curfews in over twenty large cities are not ordinary events.

8. Strike match...
BTW...the Detroit riots of 1967 included calling up both the Army's 82nd Airborne Division AND 101st Airborne along with the National Guard.
The Rodney King riots also included military force, and if I remember correctly, the D.C. post King assassination riots also included military call ups.
But that's just to name but a few in our country's long history.

In 1967 I happened to be a draftee in the US Army at Fort Eustis, VA, the Eastern headquarters of the Army Transportation Core, about three hours drive from Washington, D.C.
They supplied the columns of trucks sent to quell the riots in D.C . Unlike the American boys I did not know how to drive yet beside not speaking good English and I was concerned that if
I learned to drive I would potentially have to aim one of those trucks at a crowd and I would not know how to handle it.
Held off learning to drive until 1983.

from a technical standpoint we have the perfect situation
if we sell off and keep going then good for the bears
if we pull back for a while consolidate and then rally to new highs extremely bullish
i am in the bullish camp fwiw but who knows
