that GDX chart looks like it could give way and not triple bottom.

Assuming the Captain's read is correct, doesn't that ^c^ wave that he's projecting look optimistically short vs. ^a^?

Sorry dharma, I should've been more explicit, I was replying to dougie about GDX. That proposed ^c^ just looks too short. I agree on the gold chart that it looks right.

It's a convoluted WXYXZ in blue, where Y is a giant wave?

My count is in red.

GDXJ with ominous Bearish Engulfing a few days back...

IF and WHEN it climbs back out over 42, that would likely be a BIG bull signal.

In the meantime cannot discount possibility of some some ugliness ahead...

While I would love to be bullish the metals, this move in GDX is not blowing my socks off.  It is looking too much like a 4th wave flat, leading to another lower low below today's low.  If we can extend beyond 30.15 for a bigger 5-wave rally, then we have something.  Otherwise, this can easily lead to a lower low below todays

the way i see gdx is most of the damage has been done already. dont expect it to go a lot lower

it is all about time here imo feb 5 would be 18 moths from the top on 2020 which would make a lot of sense

feeling mellow with the yellow metal
