You may have seen the recent news that Intel was awarded $8.5 Billion in grants under the Chips Act funding.

What's truly astounding is its recent announcement of plans to spend $36 Billion to expand its massive Gordon Moore Park R&D hub in HIllsboro, OR.

This explains the massive 7,000 new construction mass homebuilding underway at Reed's Crossing on the border of Aloha/ Hillsboro.  Coincidentally, this also happens to the place where Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang attended high school, and is now home to Nvidia's second largest engineering hub.

Lots to like about the Silicon Forest.  Former wine country and cow pastures being rapidly transformed into the nucleus of the U.S. semiconductor industry.
