Nothing is obvious to Senor Woody....except that in the Perf Chart below NEM has lagged but since Dec 7 it is starting to outperform....question of course is that period statistically significant ....imho gold mkt has been quite tricky and I still dont have much confidence in short term direction..I would prefer to see some resistance taken out first...wonder what the breadth numbers show for Gold Stocks??

I guess nobody sees that NEM is making new rally closing highs off the October bottom day after day here while the rest of the goldie market is in el correcto mode.

the schtick wears thin after awhile.

I tell you what we can do here. Friday I will sell you 500 NEM and in return you can sell me 1000 KGC and 1000 AUY....and then in about say 3 weeks time we can reverse the trades where I will buy back the NEM off you and you can buy back the KGC and the AUY off me.

so on October 4 th you say?

what if you bought GRS instead of NEM you would be up the same 7 points right? but thats not really fair because if you invetsed the same dollar amount in each stock you would be up 4*7 = 28 points in you bought GRS.

ok lets compare apples to apples

what if you bought AEM instead on Oct 4 th it was 28....today its 44...so thats a 16 point gain...the same dollars invested AEM would have you up over 20 points.

But anjing bau thats not fair.

Ok ok lets try it again.

what if you bought SSRI on 10/04 at 19.00 today its 31.00.... again thats 12 points or about 24 points in a direct comparison to similar ollars invetsed.

10/04 it was 40.00 today its 54.00

but AB for cryin out loud CNQ is an oil stock.

aw schucks it was 40.00 just like NEM...even the apples to oranges comparisons don't work.

NEM is a dog for this cycle. it will be a sector underperformer.

pleas DYODD and don't be swayed by anothers opinion .... because you are responsible for your own trades.

at best NEM might hit the apex of the triangle... you do see the triangle right? whats that about 4 more points on the upside.? now look at say SLW or AUY or KGC.....how many points do you see there?

its not really about being anti NEM in fact tomorrow I plan to sell you some that I bought in the low 40's... I see more profitable opportunities in the stocks like AUY that have just done sweet little 38% fibo retracements before they set off into higher highs HH's. You know what HH's signify right?

i think your comment about NEM being up while the gold leaders were pulling back was very revealing. So I expect to get a good price for my NEM tomorrow... you push it to fifty and that will be nifty.
