what the deal with the dow ticker?

never seen it so jitery, its all over the place, 3-4 pt blips every second.?? too much coffee, red bulls, looks amped..

Why doesn't CNBC have the banner saying "Dow 475 points below record high"

It is the spread between bid and ask which is higher than normal. Takes only 100 shares to move it up and down...

A simple case of a lack of stable liquidity causes this...generally happens after a "crash like" event.

Put it under the category of "emotionalism".
