In 1974 , my broker had to call the marketmakers to buy or sell an option. CBOE was not born yet. This alone will make that book so outdated it it not even funny.....It is like compareing an ipod to a record player.....Yeah right nothing has changed.....They both make musc.....

The biggest advantage of the specialists or market makers is that they can borrow much more on their collateral or own accounts, something like 1:10. The market makers borrow directly from the Fed and I see no borrowing whatsoever in the secondary market right now, they are selling and distributing, easily, no gaming, no hidden huge leveraged positions here, just plain selling...
Compare this to the last May's, last September's, last November's, last January's and see the difference, they are easily selling, no discounting or room making for funds or fighting against the bears or anything, plain selling... Did I say plain selling? Selling...
Here's the securities lending...
When this chart spikes higher, I will make sure to get my shorts out their way...
