Taking the risk of being ridiculed by some at the close tomorrow, I am stating this ever elevated possibility and adding that this should be taken nothing more than a warning. Crashes, no matter how ripe conditions are, are extremely rare events.

if so, wouldn't you expect to see more meltdown overseas?

Are you sorry now you closed some of your shorts? I am sorry I opened any long today  I should've kept more shorts. I am more or less neutral at the moment with about 15% market exposure. I would probably benefit though a market decline more than a rise... Anyway, good luck... - kisa

Nikkei down. Hang Seng up. I don't know. Sometimes options expirations are non-events. I'd bet sideways til Monday -- with sector switching going on underneath it all.

I closed those stock shorts to short more index futures... I was going to hold them if they let me to short futures for free.

Just a few hundred Dow points to 11850. That's sort of expected now isn't it? Today was a joke. The only thing with a real bid under it on Wall St today was Immodium and Kaopectate...
