I like the PD acquisition. They have heavy industrial metal exposure (copper+) and you get some gold exposure, too. This one could be an institutional favorite given the size and structure of the company. I won't even mention valuation.

I've seen this before with large caps. When they consolidate this long the breakout could last quite a while once it occurs. I don't think it's fully bullish yet but IMHO the weekly chart will tell the tale into late spring.

Hiker, I agree about your thesis on Cramer picks. I will say that FCX is bigger than Cramer, though. It would be like Cramer recommending GS, NE or something of that magnitude/market cap. There's also the PD acquisition so there is a little 'arb' activity, too.

I have to agree with you both on Cramer. That is why I hate it when he recommends one of my stocks. Sometimes there is s steep wash out. Longer term his picks can be quite good but some never recover. I still think he gets in on the final third of a rally most of the time.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.

FCX doesn't look like it's in the final third if we get a weekly BO w/follow through on volume. Given the base it could run for a while.
