20 year old college student AND day trader... He thinks Cramer is a genius and watches him sometimes more than once a day.. reads his blogs. He now expects NYX to have a huge short squeeze due to 20% short interest. I knew cramer was going around colleges with big following.. even the kids in my daughter's econ class were all bulled up on the market. Like 90% of that class bought AAPL shares (not with real money, mind you).

does being a 20-year old and a college student diminish his ability to profitably trade?

As a former 20 yo college student who made 6 figures from 4, I'll say nope.

What it does diminish is one's ability to distinguish between luck and good trading discipline. ;)

32 trades without more than a couple losses, none over $200. Pyramiding. If that doesn't make a kid think he's way smarter than one is, what does? :o Youth, alas, is wasted on the young. Mark

Mark: Youth, alas, is wasted on the young.

But not on "the Young." I was thinking about what to say, and it hit me that your last name was involved. Nothing too witty came to mind, but uh, anyway....

Mark, you've always been good at keeping your eyes open, figuratively, with respect to the markets, and there's a kind of youthfulness to that. I thought the same thing about you way back when (over ten years now) on the old FF board.

Here's to staving off the ossification.

Best,

Doug

Thanks, Doug. I'm glad that my jaded approach to markets didn't keep me from learning from you. It's really amazing that it has been OVER ten years now for many of us. We were basically midwives at the birth of the internet and a good number of us are still together here. Others are still regularly in touch with me. If I had it all to do over again, I'd do it all over again. ;) Mark
