So far, the method to project the index high based on fractal and FIB combination I did back to Dec 17, 2006 (for S&P500) looks accurate. The DJIA chart shows how to calculate these highs, Amazingly simple.

Here is a summary for S&P500, NAS Comp. (in retrospective) and DJIA.

(1) NAS Comp.
10-Oct-02 1,108.49 L
26-Jan-04 2,153.83 H
18-Jul-06 2,012.78 L

potential high points 2535.45 (0.500) 2658.80 (0.618)
52 weeks high observed on 22-Feb-07 2,531.42

(2) S&P500
09-Oct/02 775.8 L
05-Mar/04 1163.23 H
14-Jun-06 1,219.29 L

Potential High 1458.72 (0.618), 1523.81 (0.786)
52 weeks high observed on 22-Feb-07 1,461.57

(3) DJIA
10-Oct-02 7,181.47 L
19-Feb-04 10,794.95 H
18-Jul-06 10658.35 L

Potential high 12891.49 (0.618), 13498.55 (0.786)
52 weeks high observed on 20-Feb-07 12,845.80

S&P 03/05/2004 high 1163.23, and 09/10/2002 low 775.8, a 0.618 move of (775.8-->1163.23) from 1219.22 = 1459

the DOW 12891 came from the following calculation:
(10794.95-7181.47)*0.618+10658.35= 12891.49
refer to the the attached chart, this is a fractal and FIB combination.

Nice work. Where is SPX headed now?

May be retesting high 1461 and ... ..
According to Ian Copsey's "Integrated Technical Analysis" (ISBN 0-471-82539-5), page 178/179 "Double zigzags and tripple threes are complex corrective patterns and the Elliott guidelines on its own can not preditct whether the correction will develop into one of these patterns"

Vix has come alive this afternoon and es has broken uptrend bear flag. Some kind of test should be starting. Gap closure has again failed on the main indexes.
