AAPL is a prime short, imo, esp. if it breaks below 50dma. RIMM is a dog, too.

If you believe the maket is doomed, shorting these two will make you serious money.

This isnt a market moving event. I can see the PPI and CPI figs moving the market, but not the news on Apple. What do I know, however...

I don't think there are enough factors present out there to cause a crash. Only 3 items which could cause a crash are (all low probability) 1. PPI takes a nasty jump forcing Fed to raise rates this summer 2. Successful attack by Al Qaeda 3. 7+ magnitude earthquake in a metro area. Barring these events, market looks good through May for the boolz.

I heard the opposite earlier this week about AA. Tuesday after hours, it was trading up 2% and this meant that the market as a whole was about to take off in the morning. Wake up Wednesday and down she goes. Now, we've got AAPL way down in after hours. This means a huge sell-off Friday? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not.

Qid - some friendly advice: Try not to get into a fight with anyone, as you will get censored and your posts will have to go thru admin. It happened to me, and I didn't do half what you have already done

anyway, why didnt you take 50% or even 100% profit this morning? I did take some neat profits on my puts today (45 strikes though), and only a small position, not enough for a beemer, but enough to pay small bills here and there. I am a stickler for trend and stops, so I just nibble small change every week. take care, but try and avoid any fights, they will kick you out. Almost got me in trouble arguing and throwing foul language about, but I survived :D . take care and good luck tomorrow. I am leaning bearish and will get into May puts tomorrow

Casper,

Thank you for your advice. I don't know why I would fight with anyone here? Do people here fight each other often? It seems like there are a few mean people here the ones that call me someone else all the time and say I am lying. Plus those pictures of my car were kind of nasty.

But I don't want to do any battles here, I do my battles in my brokerage account only. I will not taunt the bulls but I will happily take their money though :P

Just curious who censors you Casper? And what does it mean when you say you only did half of what I have already done? Have I done something wrong?

I am still new to this board and trying to figure out what is OK and what is not. I have got a few nasty comments to my posts so I wonder if somehow I offend with my stongly held opinions and gutsy trades.

Anyway best of luck to all. Bulls will need it tomorrow :bear:

I think you are fine Qid, if you get into trouble you'll probably get a warning from admin first, so never mind! But I like your style, you have brought some oomph which is good. I think in this business people lose money sometimes and if you are on the other side, i might feel like you took my money, and i don't think i will be sending you some choc'lites if you did that! :D . I hope your assessment of tomorrow comes true, I'll sure injoy it!! Goodluck.
